We offer flu vaccination clinics in the autumn each year. Please click here to read our information pages, including which groups are eligible to receive the vaccination.
Most common travel immunisations are provided on the NHS but you would have to pay if you required Rabies, Yellow Fever, Hepatitis B or Meningitis ACWY vaccinations or need a private prescription issued for anti-Malarial tablets.
If you are planning an overseas trip you are advised to check on the Fit for Travel website and then book an appointment with the Practice Nurse at least six weeks before your expected date of travel.
There is further information about countries and vaccinations required on the links below:
Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge. This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS.
Travelling in Europe
If you are travelling to Europe the EU has published useful information for travellers on the European website.
Some of the services we provide are not funded by the NHS so we have to make a charge for them.
This includes employment, HGV and taxi medicals, fostering medicals, completion of fitness to travel certificates and private insurance claim forms. You will also be asked to pay for the completion of a holiday cancellation form, and also if you request a private letter from your doctor. Prices are available from reception or by clicking on the link below. We require payment in advance. Please note that a cancellation fee applies to all medical examination appointments.
Fees for Non-NHS Services
The aim of the NHS in England is to provide you with the highest quality of healthcare. The NHS also aims to gain evidence that will improve health and care through research. To do this, they must keep records about you, your health and the care the NHS has provided to you or plan to provide to you. NHS care records may be electronic, on paper or a mixture of both, and organisations use a combination of working practices and technology to keep to this guarantee.
You have the right to privacy and confidentiality and to expect the NHS to keep confidential information safe and secure. This guarantee is their commitment that NHS organisations and those providing care on behalf of the NHS will use records about you in ways that respect your rights and promote your health and wellbeing.
